An Egyptian actor born in Girga, Sohag, in 1938, he attended Ain Shams University and graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in 1961. He teamed up with colleagues Samir Ghanem and El-Deif Ahmed to form the "Tholathy Adwa' El-Masrah" (The Stage Lights Trio) troupe, which performed in theater and television. They rose to fame starring in the first-ever Ramadan *Fawazeer* (riddle/variety shows) directed by Mohamed Salem and co-starred in numerous films and plays during that period. Following the death of El-Deif Ahmed, Samir and George continued to work together for years before Samir eventually pursued a solo career. George Sidhom’s notable plays include *Ahlan Ya Doctor* (Welcome, Doctor), *Al-Mutazawwijun* (The Married Couple), *Hub fi Al-Takhshiba* (Love in the Holding Cell), *Funduq Al-Ashghal Al-Shaqqa* (Hard Labor Hotel), and *Musiqa fi Al-Hayy Al-Sharqi* (Music in the Eastern Quarter); his television work includes *Bawabat Al-Halawani*. In 1997, he suffered a stroke that caused complete paralysis on the right side of his body and impaired his speech center, effectively ending his career in the arts.
